Journal of Fungal Diversity

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Fungal Diversity (JFD) is an international, open-access peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the publication of research articles, review articles, case reports and short communications and other scholarly works associated with the fungal world. JFD is committed to disseminating research that furthers our understanding of fungal diversity, ecology, and evolution.

The scope of JFD spans mycology, medical mycology, plant pathology, food science and technology, molecular biology, genetics, taxonomy, systematics, biochemistry, physiology, ecology and biodiversity, bioinformatics, biotechnology, and other related topics, as well as applied and basic research. In particular, research on the discovery, biology, diversity, ecology, conservation and sustainable use of fungi, and their interactions with plants and animals is emphasised.

JFD aims to publish high-quality research articles in a timely manner, and encourages submissions of all types of interesting and novel findings.

The journal is committed to publishing innovative and novel work that furthers the understanding of the evolution, structure and function of fungi. All manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review as well as several rounds of editorial review. Final decisions are made by the editors, who ensure that all submissions meet the scientific, ethical and editorial standards of the journal.
