Journal of Systems Biology

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Systems Biology (JSB) is an Open Access interdisciplinary journal aimed at providing novel insight into the complex network of systems that govern life processes. It is devoted to publishing and dissemination of groundbreaking research on the interactions between biochemical, genetic, and other molecular networks that control the structure, function, and evolution of biological systems.

JSB publishes research articles, reviews, and commentaries, which explore the understanding of living systems from a variety of perspectives, including molecular networks, evolutionary biology, systems biochemistry, computer and systems modelling, and the reaction to external stimuli. JSB also covers advances in modern techniques such as high-throughput experiments, imaging and analysis techniques, and informatics.

The journal also welcomes contributions from researchers in related, interdisciplinary fields such as computational, quantitative and synthetic biology. JSB encourages authors to submit results that provide a cross-fertilization of creativity and knowledge across disciplines.

JSB focuses on communicating and advancing the state-of-the-art knowledge in systems biology, bridging the gaps between different research fields, and encouraging collaborative activities. We seek to provide a forum for the rapid publication and dissemination of the latest research and new ideas, as well as promote interdisciplinary dialogue between individual disciplines.
