Journal of Pancreas

Aims and Scope

Journal of Pancreas (JPAN) is an open access journal that serves as an authoritative information source for medical scientists, clinicians, and surgeons. It is dedicated to publishing cutting-edge research across all areas of pancreas science and medicine, ranging from the molecular biology of pancreas development, cancer, prognostic and predictive markers, imaging, diagnostics, and novel treatments. Our journal is committed to providing a forum for clinical and research professionals to share and develop novel techniques, insights, and advances in the field. It features high-impact clinical studies, reviews, perspectives, special editorials, and case reports.

JPAN concentrates on the entire spectrum of the pancreatic gland aspects: normal function, etiology, epidemiology, prevention, genetics, pathophysiology, diagnosis, surgical and medical management of pancreatic diseases including cancer, inflammatory diseases, diabetes mellitus, cystic fibrosis, and other congenital disorders, pancreas anatomy and physiology, pancreas neoplasms, pancreas cancer, pancreas function testing, endoscopic ultrasound, and pancreatic research. Our goal is to provide a space to enable scientists and clinicians to exchange important concepts, research findings, and medical breakthroughs in all areas of study related to the pancreas. We are equally intent on providing a platform for clinicians, physicians, and researchers to exchange ideas on new treatments and diagnostic tools. Additionally, our journal aims to promote interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships that promote advances in pancreas science and medicine.

JPAN publishes articles on topics such as pancreas cancer, pancreatitis, endocrine and exocrine disorders, infection, risk factors, and other diseases involving the pancreas. Furthermore, the scope of JPAN includes reviews of therapeutic strategies as well as novel interventional technologies. Potentially relevant material includes submitted practical, clinical, and laboratory case studies and reports. The journal encourages submission of manuscripts on topics including diseases caused by parasitic organisms, the development of novel and effective control strategies, the role of parasites in the evolution and diversification of host organisms, the epidemiology of emerging or re-emerging diseases, and the effects of environmental changes, human behavior, and host's reaction to parasites.

Furthermore, the Journal of Pancreas (JPAN) encourages the submission of manuscripts focusing on research studies relevant to public health, epidemiology, community, and healthcare systems and policies, aiming to promote the well-being of the public and provide solutions to existing problems and challenges.
